CV Origami is a CV shaping, folding and filtering tool very similar to an audio shaper, folder or filter.
In just one device 3 different functions can be set and these functions will be applied serially.
The properties/parameters of these functions are not just automated but can be modulated using other CV signals as well.
All applicable functions are picked, designed and handcrafted for the most interesting results.

Shapers and folders

Various shaper functions such as Linear, Tangent/Tangent hyperbolic, Exponential/Logarithm, Sine, other symmetric and asymmetric functions as well as various additional folding functions.
These functions have a single parameter for modifying the shape and strength of the function.
With the strength we can interpolate between the original value and the function output value. When the strength is set to 0%, the incoming value will not be affected.
These functions have an input/output diagram for better understanding of how the given function will modify the incoming signal. (X axis is the input, Y axis is the output. An unaffected signal is just a diagonal line in these diagrams)
A thin line shows the shape of the function at full strength and a thick line shows the current strength settings.

Filters

Each control on CV Origami has immediate effect with no parameter interpolation applied which results in smoother operation. This allows you to get really weird with this device. But what, if the result is too strange? This is the reason we originally added a low pass filter. However, filters are not just for smoothing the curves, but also for sculpting them. We therefore added a bandpass and a high pass filter too and of course... resonance.
The filters are visualized with a schematic diagram for better understanding. (X axis is the frequency, Y axis is the level)

Modulation

Each property (function parameter, strength, filter cutoff and resonance) can be modulated using the other CV sources. See the MOD CVs on the back side. Just as in a mod matrix, you can choose any one of these sources for a property and additionally set the modulation depth.

Channels

CV Origami can work on 4 independent CV channels the functions of which can be enabled/disabled independently of each other. (See numbered buttons). As a result you can perform 3 different functions on 3 different signals, or 3 identical functions on 4 different signals or anything between these.

CV connectors

4 CV inputs for the input signals
4 MOD CV input for the modulations (on the front panel displayed as CV 1, CV 2, etc on the modulation source controls)
4 CV output for the processed output signals

Dice

Signal not crazy enough? Just roll a dice... 🙂
